Tickets for the event are likely to be in high demand when they go on sale this week, as previous years have sold out in minutes. There will be four stages across the weekend including the main stage, dance stage, BBC Introducing stage and Future Sounds stage.
Radio 1 has also started to release the lineup with the likes of Calvin Harris, Yungblud, Anne-Marie, Sigrid and Mimi Webb confirmed so far. It will mark the first time the festival takes place in-person since 2019, after both the 20 events moved online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tickets for the Friday dance night event on Friday, May 27 will be on sale on Ticketmaster tonight, March, 18 at 6:30pm. All tickets sold on the Ticketmaster site will be sold at face value, meaning people looking to profit won’t be able to hike up prices. Tickets resold elsewhere will still hold the name of whoever originally purchased the ticket, and could be rejected from the festival. It is important to note that no other form of resale will be accepted, as the Ticketmaster site re-issues the ticket in your name. Ticketmaster is operating a fan to fan resale site, which is the only authenticated resale method of resale. Luckily there is hope for fans who were unsuccessful this morning. The Sunday tickets did not last much longer.
This year’s tickets for the Saturday show are believed to have sold out within minutes, although it is unclear as so many people were kept in a queue.
